1place1dream was birthed from the Eat & Connect passion – a couple’s calling to engage people through food. Retired from executive corporate life, the husband and wife team chose to embark their halftime journey by funding the meals and committing all gross proceeds to their supported charities.

In 2018 summer, they cooked and served at an orphanage, Eden Home, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Rescued from the dumpsite, each of the children came with a heartbreaking story of their own. But their lives are being transformed with the love and shelter they now receive.

True to its name, 1place1dream aims to help these children realize their aspirations by supporting Eden Home.

Of immediate needs are a sanitary sewer and a water well. The current outhouse setup of planks over a hole in the ground has almost filled out over the years; while each day, the children have to buy and carry every bucket of water needed from a village well. The total gross collection from this dinner is committed to these immediate needs.

For this Private Chef Table dinner, a medley of Eastern and Western flavours will be brought together through a fusion of heritage and modern cooking techniques. May you enjoy this meal with a heart of gratitude for the everyday comforts we enjoy in the city, remembering that these basic necessities are unheard luxuries for many others around the world.

1place1dream – a place where food is prepared from cups of love along with pints of care and a sprinkling of trust, mixed with ears of understanding, pinches of respect, and served with a generous helping of fellowship.

A place to funnel the dream of a love and care ministry.

Menu:

Welcome Drink

Butterfly Pea Flower Tea infused with Organic Lemon Honey

Chef’s unique orchestration of Angelonia flowers, Ipoh choice pomelo, dried fruits and Burmese peanuts presented on private garden greens, served with organic aloe vera honey, Israel date honey and freshly cultured Greek yogurt.

Mediterranean Pan-Seared Turmeric Prawns

Fresh sea prawns marinated with Far East turmeric spice. Pan seared to retain the flavors of the sea and finally flame-charred with a drizzle of heritage brew for the extra dimension.

Norwegian Salmon paired with Singapore Chimichurri

Fresh Norwegian salmon fillet pan seared naked for a tender body and crispy skin. Paired with Chef’s self-styled Argentinian chimichurri with a local twist to add a refreshing take.

Dalmatian Roast Beef & Stew with Heritage Fusion Brew

A fusion of heritage brew and malt is added to tenderize the beef, giving the Dalmatian roast beef & stew a different depth and a Singaporean interpretation of this Balkan classic.
